On November 21, 2023, Pacific Energy President and CEO Hiroki Matsuo received a letter of appreciation from Nagasaki City Mayor Shiro Suzuki. This was in recognition of the donation of cages to house rescue cats to the Animal Protection Center in Nagasaki City.
The city of Nagasaki has been holding various events related to animal welfare, such as a rescue cat and dog adoption event, with the goal of eliminating the killing of dogs and cats.
