We are pleased to announce that we won the 12th solar power bidding in June 2022 at a supply price of 9.86 yen/kWh for one power generation facility with an output of 76.8 MW. This is a solar power plant (AC output: 76.8MW) utilizing a golf course currently located in Yamaguchi Prefecture and is scheduled to start operation in 2027.
In the 3rd round of solar power bidding in the second half of 2018, we won the bid at 15.17 yen/kWh (AC output: 85MW) and 15.37 yen/kWh (AC output: 62.9MW), both for the construction of a solar power plant using a golf course in Hyogo Prefecture, which is scheduled to start operation in 2023. This is the first time that our company’s bid price has fallen below 10 yen/kWh, and the price has finally reached a level where a renewable energy levy is no longer required.
With the fuel import cost burden expected to increase due to factors such as the situation in Ukraine and the weak yen, we will do our best to provide inexpensive, safe, and clean power, reduce the burden on the public and contribute to improving our country’s energy security through domestically-produced power sources.
